Baltimore, Md.—UMBC baseball continues their home stand with a mid-week match-up against Coppin State on Wednesday. The Retrievers are 18-18, 7-7 AE after losing two of three from America East leading Binghamton this past weekend.

Scouting the Retrievers:
-The Retrievers dropped two of three games against league leading Binghamton this past weekend at Alumni Field. UMBC got a big weekend from Hunter Dolshun (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley) who blasted three home runs, including two in a 5-4 win in game one.
-Kevin Lachance (Clifton, Va./Centreville) leads the team offensively, hitting .401, having played in every game. He leads the team in hits (57), as well as swiping 22 bases in 26 tries. Classmate Anthony Gatto (Hauppauge, N.Y./Smithtown West) is second on the team with a .372 average, while junior Hunter Dolshun is hitting .331 with a team best seven home runs.
-On the mound, Conrad Wozniak (Cypress, Texas/Cypress Woods/Frank Phillip) leads the rotation with a 3.29 ERA in nine starts this season. Wozniak has a 5-2 record in 52.0 innings pitched with a team best 42 strikeouts. Junior Cory Callahan (Sykesville, Md./Good Counsel) has made three starts, throwing 37.1 innings of work with 20 strikeouts.
Scouting the Eagles:
-The Eagles head to Alumni Field after being swept by Norfolk State this past weekend. The Spartans gave up just one run, outscoring the Eagles 16-1 over three games.
-Coppin State is led by John Kraft who is batting .357 on the year with a team best 11 doubles and ten home runs with 28 RBIs. Jamar Criss and Bryant Miranda are also hitting over .300 at .336 and .314 respectively. Miranda leads the Eagles with 44 hits and a team best 11 stolen bases.
-On the mound, the Eagles have a collective ERA of 9.33, led by Krystian Negron. Negron has a 4.55 ERA in eight starts and a 3-4 record. He has thrown the most innings (59.1) with the most strikeouts (47). Negron also leads the team in saves with two.
-The Retrievers have lost just one game all-time to the Eagles, holding a 45-1 record against Coppin State.
-Earlier this year, the Retrievers found themselves down 3-0 after the first half inning, but scored 12 straight to earn a 12-3 win back in March.
Chasing Win 100:
-Head Coach Bob Mumma is fast approaching 100 career wins as a head coach. In his fifth year at the helm of the Retrievers, Mumma had a 79-121 heading into the season. The Retriever alum is just three wins away from hitting the career milestone.
-UMBC will head to Long Island for a three game America East set with defending champion Stony Brook on Saturday and Sunday. The Retrievers and Seawolves split their previous series back in March in Baltimore.
