Talareah Campbell joined the academic services staff as an academic advisor in July, 2017. She will be advising the Retriever women’s basketball and men’s lacrosse programs.
Campbell comes to UMBC from sister institution Maryland Eastern Shore, where she worked for the department of athletics since 2013. She served as coordinator of student services and academic advisor since 2015, after a two-year stint as an academic advisor.
In her most recent position, Campbell oversaw community service projects for all student-athletes and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Moreover, she implemented workshops, programs and events for student athletes to develop their social, academic and professional skills.
Campbell earned both her bachelor’s (sociology, ’10) and master’s degrees (counseling education, ‘;16) from Eastern Shore.
