Visiting Team Information
UMBC Stadium Complex Athletic Training Room
This training room is located in the brick building along the track and turf. It is fully equipped with whirlpools, hydrocollators, and modality units. The facility will be opened 2 hours before the athletic event and 1 hour after.
UMBC Retriever Athletics Center Training Room
This training room, newly built, is located on the entry floor of the RAC. It will be your first right as you walk into the building. It is fully equipped with whirlpools, hydrocollators, and modality units. The facility will be opened 2 hours before the athletic event and 1 hour after.
Any visiting teams requiring the help of an athletic trainer before a contest must come with a letter from there Athletic Trainer specifying the treatment needed. Without this letter no treatment will be provided. We also ask that you bring the supplies needed for type of taping or wrapping required for the athlete.
A Certified Athletic Trainer will be available for all home events.
SERVICES AVAILABLE:
Ice bags, Water, and cups, first aid materials and biohazard bags and disposal will be provided for your teams
If necessary, the following will be available for your use: spine board, crutches, immobilizers, splints, cervical collars, AED, or any other emergency equipment needed
Our Team Physician will be present at both Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Lacrosse, and Basketball games. For all other sports they will be on call.
All Men’s Lacrosse Games will also have ALS Ambulance Services
RECIPROCAL COVERAGE:
Not all teams will be traveling with a Certified Athletic Trainer
A kit with taping and other as needed supplies will be sent with these teams and hosting Athletic Trainers will be notified in advance of any treatments or tapings that may be needed
