Andrew M. Tucker, M.D.

Dr. Andrew Tucker, Medical Director of Union Memorial Sports Medicine and head team physician for the Baltimore Ravens, has served as UMBC's team physician since 1993. Dr. Tucker is committed to providing student-athletes with the best possible orthopedic and medical care, as well as keeping UMBC Sports Medicine on the cutting edge of sports medicine research. A Diplomat of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Tucker also maintains a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. Dr. Tucker’s practice focuses on acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and conditions in active people of all ages, and medical problems and issues that are unique to sports and exercise. He earned his medical degree from Southern Illinois University in 1986 and completed his Fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the Alabama Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center. Dr. Tucker currently serves on three NFL advisory committees, and is President-Elect of the NFL Physicians Society. He sees patients at Union Memorial Hospital and in the Union Memorial Sports Medicine Lutherville office.
