Dr. Nevin Markel, C.S.C.S.

Dr. Nevin Markel, UMBC’s team chiropractor since 2007, provides weekly services to UMBC student-athletes. A Cum Laude graduate of the New York Chiropractic College in 2008, Dr. Markel also completed a clinical internship in the orthopedic department of the Western New York VA Hospital. Dr. Markel is Full Body Certified in Active Release Technique (ART) and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. His practice incorporates a variety of manual therapy techniques in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions including Active Release Techniques, Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, and Motion Palpation along with cutting-edge rehabilitation programs. In addition to his chiropractic education, Dr. Markel regularly attends post-graduate courses on rehabilitation and the latest treatment techniques in order to best serve his patients. Dr. Markel sees patients at The Yalich Clinic & Rehabilitation Center located in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
