Live Weather Conditions at UMBC

W. Hugh Baugher, M.D.

Dr. W. Hugh Baugher has served as UMBC's team physician since 1982. He also serves as a team physician for Johns Hopkins University and previously the Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Thunder and various national amateur and NCAA events. Dr. Baugher earned his medical degree and completed his training in orthopedic surgery at the University of Virginia Medical School. He has also completed dual fellowships, one in sports medicine at The Hospital for Special Surgery at Cornell University Medical College and the other in hand surgery at Cabrini Medical/NYU Center. A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Baugher also holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery. He specializes in sports medicine and arthroscopy as well as surgical intervention of the shoulder, hand, wrist, and knee. Dr. Baugher sees patients at The Curtis National Hand Center at Union Memorial Hospital as well as the Union Memorial Sports Medicine Lutherville office.
