CROSS COUNTRY'S STEFANIE THOMAS EARNS NEC FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR HONORS; THREE RETRIEVER MEN GARNER ALL CONFERENCE AWARDS

Freshman Stefanie Thomas received Northeast Conference Freshman of the Year honors by virtue of her third place finish at the NEC Cross Country Championships this past weekend. Thomas finished the 5,000-meter course in a time of 18:10.0. Thomas also garnered All-Conference Team honors. The Retrievers placed three men on the All-Conference Team. Freshman Izudin Mehmedovic placed 7th in 26:09.2 and was joined by senior Phil Knowlton (8th, 26:10.0), and junior Adam Driscoll (13th, 26:27.2). The women's team finished in third place while the men finished second.
