CROSS COUNTRY SQUADS SWEEP BALTIMORE METRO CHAMPIONSHIPS

Murray Davis' men's and women's cross country squads opened the 202 campaigns in outstanding fashion, breezing to victories in the annual Baltimore Metro Championships, held at Oregon Ridge Park in Hunt Valley, MD. The men placed their top five runners in positions two through six and totalled 20 points to easily outdistance Towson, Coppin, Johns Hopkins, Morgan State, and Goucher. There was a gap of just 26 seconds between UMBC's top five runners. The women totalled 30 points, edging Towson with 43, Johns Hopkins with 54, Goucher, Morgan and Coppin.
