"TWO-TIME" ALL-METRO COACH OF THE YEAR MURRAY DAVIS NAMED HEAD MEN'S & WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY COACH AT UMBC

Baltimore, MD - - -UMBC announced the hiring of Murray Davis, as head men's and women's cross country coach. Davis has been coaching cross country at C. Milton Wright High School since 1997, and has been the head coach at the school since 1998. Davis was named All-Metro Coach of the Year in 1999 and 2000. Davis holds an Associates in Arts Degree from Dundalk Community College, where he majored in Physical Fitness Technology and a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Physical Education at Towson University. Davis also holds a Level 2 coaching certification from USA Track and Field. Davis will assist UMBC head track & field coach David Bobb in indoor and outdoor track with the distance runners. "I'm looking forward to the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead, " said Davis. "Hopefully, I can help take UMBC to the next level."
