Background: A three-sport athlete for Linganore H.S. in Frederick, Md…. Finished second at the Frederick County Championships, third at the regional championships and 13th at the Maryland Cross Country Championships in 2006… Also named the Lancer Rookie of the Year, and recipient of the Coaches’ Award and Lancer Award… Named to the Frederick Newspost First Team for three years and the Second-Team for one year… Also competed in indoor and outdoor track for the Lancers… Was the indoor one mile and two mile Frederick County Champion in 2007 and part of the Lancer team that won the Maryland Indoor Championships in the 2005-2006 season… Also earned the Lancer Award and was named to the Frederick Newspost First Team in indoor track… Named Rookie of the Year and earned the Coaches’ Award and Lancer Award for outdoor track after finishing fourth in the one mile at the 2007 Maryland State Championships… Also named to the Frederick Newspost Second Team for two years… A member of the National Honor Society, National Spanish Society, and a member of the honor roll all four years.
