Volleyball Returns to UMBCRetrievers.TV for Fourth Season; Retrievers Compete in Battle of Baltimore This Weekend

BALTIMORE—UMBCRetrievers.tv is back for its fourth season of covering the UMBC volleyball team, starting with the Retrievers’ match with Navy on Sept. 6 at 6 p.m., but before that the Retrievers face off against local rivals in the Battle of Baltimore this weekend on the campuses of Towson and Morgan State. UMBC plays Coppin State at noon and Loyola at 6 p.m. Friday at Towson, while the Retrievers face off against the Tigers at 11 a.m. and the host Bears at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
The Retrievers are 11-0-1 all-time against the Eagles, while they are 44-14-1 against the Greyhounds. The Tigers lead the all-time series against UMBC at 32-36-1, but the Retrievers have a 37-2 advantage over Morgan State.
UMBC went 2-2 out in Southern California, defeating Prairie View A&M and UC Riverside and battling nationally-ranked Washington and Long Beach State tough. Senior Allie Spaay was named to the Mizuno Invitational All-Tournament Team, while freshman Hannah Schmidt was named America East Rookie of the Week. UMBCRetrievers.tv Returns
Once again, UMBC will feature broadcasts via the internet of all volleyball, basketball and lacrosse home games and select swimming and diving meets and baseball games. The broadcasts feature a radio-style play-by-play, multiple camera angles and replays! Fans can get all of UMBC's video content on the live streaming site via an All-Access Pass for the low rate of $59.95. Individual games can be purchased for $5.95. All-Access members can view any broadcast On Demand in our archive section at anytime.
