    UMBC VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS FAIRLEIGH DICKINSON

     

    Baltimore, MD - - -UMBC remained unbeaten in the Northeast Conference with a 30-14, 30-26, 30-27 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson, Sunday afternoon at the UMBC RAC Arena.

     

    UMBC freshman outside hitter Christine Skala recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs and sophomore outside hitter Julia Waclawiak added 10 kills and a match-high 5 service aces.

     

    The Retrievers hit .211 from the floor and held the Knights to a .172 mark.  UMBC recorded 12 service aces compared to just one by FDU.

     

    Senior middle hitter Allsion Picker led the Knights with 14 kills and  junior outside hitter Nicole Farrell added 11 digs.
