VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS WAGNER AT THE RAC

    Baltimore, MD ---UMBC swept Wagner by scores of 30-16, 30-12, and 30-14, in a Northeast Conference volleyball contest Saturday afternoon at the UMBC RAC Arena.  UMBC improved to 12-7 (3-0 NEC) and Wagner remained winless at 0-25 (0-3 NEC).

     

    UMBC junior outside hitter Jennifer Davis and sophomore outside hitter Julia Waclawiak each recorded a match-high 10 kills and sophomore middle hitter Jocelyn Teoh added 8 kills and a match-high 7 service aces. 

     

    UMBC hit .368 for the match and held the Seahawks to a -.046 hitting mark.  The Retrievers also recorded 13 service aces in the match.

     

    SO outside hitter Jennine Porter led the Seahawks with 5 kills and freshman libero Lauren Lebowitz added 8 digs.

     

    UMBC will return to action on Sunday afternoon against NEC rival Fairleigh Dickinson at 1:00 in the RAC.
