BALTIMORE—The UMBC volleyball team plays host to George Washington at the RAC Arena Tuesday at 6 p.m. If you can’t make it to the RAC, the game will be broadcast live at www.UMBCRetrievers.tv. Live stats will also be available for the game.
LAST TIME OUT: The Retrievers went 2-2 in the Battle of Baltimore over the weekend. UMBC defeated Coppin State and Morgan State, but fell to Loyola and Towson. Junior Iman Kennedy was named to the All-Tournament Team after leading the team with a .254 hitting percentage and 1.25 blocks per set.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION: George Washington comes to Baltimore with a record of 4-2. Lauren Whyte leads the Colonials with 4.32 kills per set, while Candace Silva-Martin leads the team with 5.00 digs per set. Katie Crosby directs the offense with 10.43 assists per set. GW has won 18 of 19 previous meetings with the Retrievers. UMBC’s only victory came in 2008. The Colonials took last year’s match-up, 3-1 on Sept. 12.
