UMBC Recruit Loynachan Wins Canadian National Championship with Club Team, Durham Attack Black

BALTIMORE—UMBC incoming freshman Ali Loynachan and her club team, Durham Attack Black, won the Canadian National Championship for the fifth consecutive time. The Oshawa, Ontario, team defeated the Calgary Dinos in the title game, 25-11 and 26-24. Durham Attack Black won the national title at the 14-Under, 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U levels. Loynachan was named to the National Tournament Championship All-Star team, which is the equivalent to being named All-Canada in club volleyball. She will be joining the Retrievers in the fall for the 2009 season.
