Scheetz Garners Final Rookie Weekly Award; UMBC Volleyball Combines for Eight Weekly Awards in 2007

Scheetz picked up her second Rookie of the Week award this season, after capturing the conference’s first weekly award as well.
The rookie averaged 1.56 blocks per game last week, third-best in the conference, and added to her UMBC single-season record for assisted blocks, which she set earlier this season.
Over the weekend, Scheetz also averaged 3.22 kills per game and 4.06 points per game, while hitting .316 in three matches last week. She registered eight assisted blocks and a .500 clip from the floor in the 3-2 loss to Navy on Tuesday and finishes the season ranked in the conference top ten for assisted blocks (1.12, fourth) and hitting percentage (.294, seventh).
