Retrievers Win Fourth Straight, Blank Howard, 3-0

The Retrievers (8-1) have won their last four straight matches, while the Bison (0-8) remain winless for the season and have lost the last eight straight.
The Retrievers posted a hitting percentage of .379 for the match and committed just nine attack errors, while the Bison hit a dismal .018 for the match with 26 attack errors.

Morgan Maxwell was tops for the Bison with eight kills, eight digs, and one solo block.
The Bison jumped onto the board first, holding a 2-0 advantage on the Retrievers, but UMBC soon went on a 5-0 run to take the 6-3 lead.

The Retrievers once again went on a scoring run behind Giles’ serve as a Hoeks kill started a seven point rally for the Retrievers to give them a 13-5 advantage.
Scheetz added her own four-point serving run in addition to hitting .667 in the set with four kills and a service ace, while Giles tallied two aces of her own in the game.

The Retrievers dominated the third and final game, hitting an incredible .435 and committing just one attack error, while the Bison held a hitting percentage of -.069 with 11 errors.
The Retrievers led by as many as 18 points, with the score 26-8 and picked up the 30-11 match point on a Sande service ace.
Sande tallied four kills, two digs, and one block assist in the final set.
