VOLLEYBALL'S WOOLERY NAMED NEC ROOKIE OF WEEK

Freshman outside hitter Tauna Woolery took home Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week accolades after tallying 17 kills, 7 service aces and 23 digs in two conference wins last week. She posted 9 kills and 10 digs against LIU and recorded 8 kills and a match-high in digs (13) and aces (5) versus St. Francis (NY), in helping UMBC to its part of a three-way tie for first place in the NEC regular season standings. Woolery leads the Retrievers in digs (3.24 pg.), aces (37) and averages 2.40 kills per game. Classmates Julia Waclawiak (9/4) and Jocelyn Teoh (10/22) have also won the award this season.
