Senior Dana Cookson recorded a match-high 13 kills in her final home match this afternoon.

UMBC senior outside hitter Dana Cookson celebrated her final home contest with a match-high 13 kills as UMBC defeated St. Francis (NY), 30-15, 30-14, 30-28, Sunday at UMBC RAC Arena in the regular season finale.The Retrievers (15-12, 8-1 NEC) outhit the Terriers (10-15, 3-6) by a .256 to .000 margin.Cookson accounted for 7 kills in the opening game as UMBC hit a blazing .452. Cookson and FR Tauna Woolery added 4 kills each in game two and senior Jill Engel chipped in with 9 digs and two service aces in game two. The Retrievers closed out a tight game three with a 4 kill performances by FR Jocelyn Teoh and junior setter Heather Kerley.Sophomore Jennifer Davis led UMBC with 14 digs and Kerley added 9 kills and a team-high 18 assists.Junior middle hitter Sylwia Parzych led the Terriers with 10 kills.
