Tauna Woolery led UMBC with 13 digs and 5 service aces against LIU today.

UMBC freshman Jocelyn Teoh and senior Dana Cookson combined for 21 kills to lead UMBC past NEC rival Long Island, 30-11, 30-25, 30-14, Saturday afternoon at UMBC RAC Arena.UMBC (14-12, 7-1 NEC) outhit the Blackbirds, .364 to .190 and recorded 15 service aces compared to just one for LIU (7-22, 2-6 NEC).Cookson recorded five kills and Teoh added 4 in the opening game. Freshman, Tauna Woolery, who had a match-high 13 digs, paced UMBC with 4 kills in game two and SO Jennifer Davis added three. The Retrievers closed out the match by hitting .410 in game three. Cookson and Teoh each accounted for 4 kills.Woolery added 8 kills and a match-high 5 service aces and junior setter Heather Kerley added a match-high 21 assists.Jessica Van Ness led LIU with 9 kills.
