LOOKING AHEAD

RETRIEVERS NEED TO MAKE A MOVE WITH REGULAR SEASON WINDING DOWN

With four regular season games left the UMBC Women’s Volleyball team needs to make a move to reach the top-four in the conference and advance to the America East Tournament.  With only the top-four entered in the conference championship tournament, the Retrievers will need to upset their counterparts in the coming weeks with three of their final four opponents ahead of them in the standings.  The Retrievers are currently tied for sixth with a 3-7 conference mark, two games behind Stony Brook and Binghamton who are tied for fourth with 5-5 league records.  UMBC this week travels to Binghamton and Albany to face the Bearcats, who downed the Retrievers in three sets, and the Great Danes, who are at the top of the conference charts with a 10-0 league mark.  Albany defeated UMBC in three sets earlier this year.  UMBC will play their remaining to regular season games at home with Northeastern and Hartford coming to UMBC on Nov. 12 and 13.
