XAVIER TURNS BACK RETRIEVERS IN SEASON OPENER, 3-0

The Musketeers never trailed past their eighth point in any of the game and were led by Molly Martin who registered eight kills with a hitting percentage of .727 and dished out a game-high 36 assists. Also chipping in for the Xavier offense was Jill Qualye with nine kills and Carly Horvath with seven kills.
The Retriever offense struggled with Jocelyn Teoh recording eight kills on 21 attacks and Megan Gross recording 21 assists. Gross and teammate Jessie Folk each had eight digs in the match with Christina Skala digging seven balls. Freshman Marisa Gross and Katrina Carrick opened their college career with seven and five kills, respectively.
