UMBC took a pair of matches this weekend, sweeping FDU, 3-0, and edging Wagner, 3-2. Against FDU, freshman hitter Jocelyn Teoh recorded a match-high 20 kills and classmate Tauna Woolery added 26 digs as UMBC (10-10, 3-0 NEC) defeated host FDU (7-8, 1-3 NEC), 3-0, in a Northeast Conference match. The Retrievers triumphed, 30-26, 30-28, 30-23 and hit a strong .306 for the match. Teoh hit .500, with just 2 errors in 36 attempts. Senior Dana Cookson added 10 kills, and junior setter Heather Kerley added 9 kills, with no errors, and 44 assists. The Retrievers defeated Wagner, 17-30, 30-14, 30-18, 26-30, 15-7 to improve to 11-10 overall, and 4-0 in the NEC.
