UMBC VOLLEYBALL OUTLASTS MORGAN STATE, 3-2

Baltimore, Md. – The UMBC women’s volleyball team (10-7) defeated Morgan State (5-12, 1-0), 3-2, in women’s volleyball action on Tuesday night at Morgan State Hill Field House. The Retrievers endured another five-game thriller, 21-30, 30-24, 31-33, 30-19, 15-13, to win their 10th game of the season.
Graduate student Jennifer Davis (Ontario, Canada/Sir Allen MacNab) continued her powerful hitting, racking up 18 kills in the match to pace the Retrievers. Davis now has 190 kills on the season.
UMBC has played four five-set matches this year, winning their last three including two this week.
UMBC returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 2 when they travel to Loyola (Md.) for a 7 p.m. contest.
