2008: Saw action in 22 matches, starting nine before a knee injury forced her to miss nine matches… Served 22 aces in just 61 sets for an average or 0.36 aces/set, the second-best mark on the team… Earned 105 digs and 102 kills on the season… Earned a double-double with 19 digs and 18 kills in a five-set victory over Eastern Michigan on Aug. 30… Had her best match of the season against New Hampshire on Oct. 3, with nine kills and 10 digs in a three-set win… Recorded double-digit digs in five matches.

 

2007: Played in all 32 matches during the season, the most of any Retriever, starting 23 of them for a total of 95 games played, the second-highest on the team… Finished the season ranked 69th in the country with 0.46 service aces/gm, which also led the conference rankings… Ranked second on the team with 2.66 kills/gm and 3.40 points/gm and was third with 2.97 digs/gm, which was the 10th-best mark in the conference… Recorded double-digit kills in eight matches during the season, including a season-high 20 against NJIT on Oct. 10… Also tallied her season-high 30 points that match and came one service ace away from a triple double as she added 16 kills and nine service aces… Put up a double-double seven times through the season and came one kill, or dig, short on two more occasions… Her first career double-double came against New Hampshire on Sept. 30 where she added 17 kills on 40 attacks with just one error for a .400 hitting percentage and added 13 digs and five assisted blocks for 24.5 total points, her second highest point total… Named to the America East All-Rookie Team.

 

High School:  A two-sport athlete at A.G. West Black Hills H.S.in Olympia, Washington who helped her team to a league victory over hometown rival Tumwater in the 2006 district playoffs… Recorded her best performance in the 2005 district tournament, totaling 32 kills and 23 digs against Mark Morris H.S. in a five-game match… Named the 2005 Black Hills H.S. Wolves Player of the Year… Also named All-League Honorable Mention in 2004, All-League First-Team in 2005, The Olympian’s All-Area Team in 2005-2006, Washington State Coaches Association All-State Team in 2006, and the Capital City Classic All-Tournament Team in 2005… A stand-out track athlete who won the league championship, district championship, and finished runner-up in the state meet in the high jump… Holds the Black Hills H.S. record for the high jump and earned the Coaches Award in 2005 and was named to The Olympian All-Area Track Team in 2006.

 

Personal: One of two children to Tim and Patti Hoeks… Has an older sister, Brittani (23)… Major is media and communications studies… Born on August 31, 1989.
