Ryan Bergeron will enter his third season with the UMBC volleyball team in 2007 after first joining the support staff in 2005.
Bergeron, a Timonium, Md., native joined the UMBC volleyball team in 2005, under newly hired head coach Ian Blanchard, as the team manager and became the graduate assistant coach in 2006.
During that time period, Bergeron was also co-head coach for the 18-year-old Timeout Volleyball club team, Orange Crush, which he helped propel to the national tournament after placing second in the region. This past year, Bergeron served as the assistant coach for Timeoutís Black Crush team.
Bergeron has also helped to coach numerous Gold Medal Squared volleyball camps and coaches clinics since beginning his coaching career in 2006.
While an undergraduate at UMBC, Bergeron joined the menís volleyball club team in his junior year, helping the team to two national tournament appearances at the NIRSA Collegiate Volleyball Sport Club Championships. He was also named All-Centennial Division while playing middle hitter and right side for the club team.
Prior to coming to UMBC, Bergeron graduated in the top 32 of his class from
Bergeron graduated from UMBC in 2005 with a bachelorís degree in computer science and is currently pursuing a masterís degree in the same concentration. He currently resides in
