High School:  Began playing volleyball at the start of ninth grade and developed into one of the top players in her area, earning the “Mike Burchuck award”, which is giving to the top graduating female volleyball athlete in the Winnipeg Manitoba Area…as a senior at Sisler High School was ranked fourth out of all high school players in the province and earned a spot in the graduating all-star game and named to the All-Manitoba team…led her team in passing, digs and attacks en route to the conference final in which they lost by two points in five sets…earned team MVP honors three-consecutive years (2003-2005)…won the Canadian 18 and under nationals with the Big Sand Volleyball Club…overcame a sprained ankle the week before the nationals…as part of the Provincial Juvenile squad in Manitoba, her team placed second in the USA High Performance Volleyball Tournament in Austin, Texas and won the Canadian Nationals...earned honor roll honors all-four years in high school.

 

Personal:  One of four children to Diane Bailey and Scott Ball…older sister Kate Ball and two other siblings Kaija and Sean Bailey…Sean won the national bantam championships in Saskatoon the week before with the Winman Blue Volleyball club….born on May 29, 1987.
