2010: Named to the America East All-Rookie Team after ranking second on the team with 214 kills and 31 service aces and was third on the squad with 282 digs… Earned six double-doubles, including 11 kills and 14 digs against Binghamton in the America East Semifinals… Recorded a season-high 17 kills against Brown on Sept. 11 and a season-high 21 digs at Albany on Oct. 31… Served a season-high four aces against Coppin State and New Hampshire… Recognized on the America East Honor Roll.

 

Background: Named the 2010 winner of the Evelyn Holick Award, which is Ontario’s most prestigious honor, by the Ontario Volleyball Association… Won five consecutive Canada Indoor Volleyball National Championships from 2005-09 in addition to six straight Indoor Volleyball Ontario Championships from 2005-10 with Durham Attack… One of only two high schoolers on Team Ontario which won silver at the 2009 Canada Summer Games… Named MVP of Canada of her division 2005-08 and an All-Star in Ontario from 2005-10… Recipient of the 2008 Lisa Ford Memorial Award… Led her high school, McLaughlin Collegiate to four straight Lake Ontario Secondary School Athletics (LOSSA) crowns from 2006-10… Named the 2010 LOSSA Most Valuable Player… Also lettered in badminton and qualified for provincials after finishing second in her region.

 

Personal: Daughter of Elizabeth and Zibby Goc… Has an older brother, Peter, 27… Majoring in psychology and hopes to become a child counselor or teacher… Born June 29, 1992.
