Deller Named America East Female Field Performer of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Sophomore Amanda Deller (Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen) has been named America East Female Field Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. It is the third weekly award of Deller’s career.
Deller, the defending America East indoor and outdoor champion in the shot put, won the event at the 2011 Colonial Relays over the weekend. The sophomore hit a mark of 14.22 meters, pacing the conference in the outdoor season and qualifying her for the ECAC meet.
The Retrievers return to action Saturday at the Maryland Invitational in College Park, Md.
