Three Named to America East Indoor Track and Field All-Academic Team

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Seniors Michael Christmas (Invercargill, New Zealand/James Hargest College), Dominic Devaud (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) and Sara Parkinson (Lancashire, England/Loughborough University) have been named to the 2009-10 America East Indoor Track and Field All-Academic teams, the conference announced Tuesday.
Parkinson won the 5,000-meter run and earned bronze in the 3,000-meter run and fourth in the 1-mile run at the America East Championships. A member of the 2009 America East Cross Country All-Academic team, she is majoring in geography and environmental systems with a 3.62 cumulative GPA.
Christmas finished fourth in the 800-meter run at the 2010 America East Championships and has a cumulative GPA of 3.71 in biological sciences.
Devaud, who won the heptathlon at the IC4A Championships this past weekend, defended his title in the heptathlon at the conference meet. The 2009 America East Indoor Track and Field Scholar Athlete is majoring in mechanical engineering with a 3.62 cumulative GPA.
