Background: Named the team MVP in each of her four seasons at Carver and was named the Female Athlete of the Year as a senior in 2012... Finished fourth at the state meet in the 400m and 800m in 2012... Ran a personal-record 2:21.00 while finishing fourth at the Maryland State Championships as a junior... A member of the National Honor Society at Carver and listed on the school's honor rol each year.
