2012 Outdoor: Finished 13th in the 10,000m run at the America East Outdoor Championships... Ran a personal-best time of 39:35.97 in the event at the Duke Invitational to rank sixth in the UMBC record book... Named to the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2011-12 Indoor: Ran a season-best time of 19:09.89 in the 5,000m run at the Gotham Cup.

Background: Was First Team All-IAAM B conference from 2007-2009… Selected to first team All-Baltimore City for Cross Country in 2008 and for Track in 2009… Named to First Team All-IAAM A conference in 2010… Helped lead her track team to three consecutive undefeated seasons in conference and winning the championship in 2007… Was also a member of the National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and named a Theresian scholar.

Personal: Daughter of Bobby and Peggy Gessler…Has three younger sisters Katie, Amy, and Becky… Majoring in Biochemistry… Born July 14, 1993.
