At UMBC: Also a member of the UMBC volleyball team... She played in 21 matches, including 13 starts... Earned 78 kills and 40 total blocks for the Retrievers.

 

High School: A two-sport athlete at Brookfield High School in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada… A two-time Junior Athlete of the Year (04-05 and 05-06) for the Blues as well as the Most Improved Player on the volleyball team in 05-06 and the Most Valuable Player in 06-07… Also played club volleyball for the National Capitals, who placed fourth at the National Volleyball Championships… Named the Most Improved Player for the CAPS during her first year with the 17U team… Played with the provincial Team Ontario during 20007… Also competed in the high jump for the Blues and was a five-time city champion and held the number one ranking for the Ontario province.

 

Personal: One of two daughters to Greg Joy and Sue Holloway… Has a sister, Alexandra… Father, Greg, was a silver medalist in the high jump at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, a two-time NCAA Champion in the high jump at the University of Texas-El Paso, and a world record-holder in the indoor high jump during 1978 and is  a part of the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame and BC Sports Hall of Fame… Mother, Sue, became the first-ever women and first Canadian to compete in both the summer and winter Olympics as she competed in cross country skiing in the 1976 Winter Olympics and in kayaking at the 1976 Summer Olympics. She earned a silver medal as part of the two-person 500-meter kayak race and bronze as part of the four-person 500m race at the 1984 games in Los Angeles and is a part of the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame… Major is undecided… Born July 14, 1990.
