Tennis Wins 35 of 45 Singles Matches at Bucknell Quad

    The men’s and women’s tennis teams won 35 of 45 singles matches played vs. Connecticut, Quinnipiac and host Bucknell at the Bucknell Quad held in Lewisburg, Pa. this weekend.

     

    Four men and four women each were a perfect 3-0 in singles competition. On the men’s side, sophomore Nick Savage-Pollock swept his Flight 3 matches, freshman Chris Meyer did the same at Flight 4, while junior Fernando Ferreira and senior Mehrban Iranshad took all three matches at Flight 5 and Flight 7 respectively. Savage-Pollock and Ferreria were also perfect in doubles, winning both matches in Flight 2.

     

    On the women’s side, freshman Alice Chen won a pair of third-set tie-breakers to sweep Flight 2. Junior Pascaline Cette, senior Adriana Fonseca and freshman Barbara Couto all won in straight sets in Flights 4, 5 and 7 respectively.
