WOMEN'S TENNIS WINS FIFTH STRAIGHT, TAKES DOWN DELAWARE, 6-1

    The UMBC women’s tennis team won its fifth straight match, as the Retrievers defeated Delaware, 6-1, on Monday. The Retrievers dropped all three doubles matches, losing the doubles point to the Blue Hens, but proceeded to capture all six singles matches. Freshman #5 Pascaline Cette posted a quick 6-0, 6-1 win over Brittany Barsky and sophomore #6 Idil Un followed with a 6-4, 6-1 triumph over Katie Miller. #4 sophomore Elizabeth Anderson also won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3 over Alexa Dragonette. UMBC clinched the win by pulling out three tough singles matches. #2 senior Aimee Lim dropped her first set, 2-6, but came back with a 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 win over Elizabeth Perlow. #1 junior Ale Pedergnana triumphed, 7-6 (6), 2-6, (10-7) over Susan Pollack and #3 sophomore Adriana Fonseca outlasted Sari Shuster, 2-6, 7-5, 6-0.
