CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Junior Brad Reitz (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) and sophomore Abbey McKenney (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine) have been named America East Male and Female Swimmers of the Week, for the week ending Jan. 31, as announced by the conference Tuesday.

She claimed a title in the 50 free (24.39) and finished second behind William & Mary in the 100 free with a time of 52.46. Reitz has earned his first weekly accolade after leading UMBC to wins over Delaware and William & Mary, ranked 17th and 22nd, respectively, in the Mid-Major poll. He medaled in four events at the meet, including two individual titles and one relay victory. Reitz touched first in the 100 and 200 fly with times of 51.38 and 1:53.13, respectively. In the 200 fly, Reitz bettered his season-best time and remains at third in the conference standings. He picked up another top finish at the meet in the 200 IM, placing second in 1:56.00. Reitz captured a relay victory in the 200 medley relay, which won in a time of 1:34.09.
