2009-10: Placed 10th in the 400-yard individual medley, 11th in the 200-yard backstroke and 16th in the 200 IM at the America East Championships… Also finished 10th in the 200 back at the Patriot Invitational… Highest finish was fourth in the 200 back vs. Marist and fourth in the 200 IM vs. Navy… Swam career-best times in the 200 back (2:07.67), 200 IM (2:08.83) and 400 IM (4:31.17) at the conference meet… Named to the America East Honor Roll.

 

2008-09: Finished seventh in the 200-yard individual medley and was 11th in the 400 IM and 12th in the 200-yard backstroke at the America East Championships… Also finished fourth in the 200 IM and ninth in the 400 IM at the Patriot Invitational… Highest finish was second in the 200 IM against East Carolina and in the 100-yard breaststroke against Marist… Swam season-best times in the 200 back (2:08.04) at the America East Championships and in the 200 IM (2:08.99) and 400 IM (4:32.43) at the Patriot Invitational. 

 

2007-08: Finished seventh in the 200-yard backstroke and 200 individual medley and was 10th in the 400 IM at the America East Championships… Placed 11th in the 400 IM, 12th in the 200 IM, 17th in the 200 back and 20th in the 100 back and was part of the ninth-place 200 medley relay at the GMU Patriot Invitational… Highest finishes of the season came against Marist, where she placed second in the 200 back, and against Maryland and Binghamton, where she finished second in the 200 IM… Was also part of the winning 200 medley relay against Binghamton… Swam season-best times in the 200 back (2:10.65) and 400 IM (4:36.44) at the America East Championships, in the 100 back (1:02.65) at the Patriot Invite and in the 200 IM (2:09.49) against Maryland.

 

Background: A two-sport athlete at Wilson H.S. in West Lawn, Pa…. Named the Pepsi-Cola Female Athlete of the Year… A High School All-American for swimming in 2007 and named All-Berks County in 2006… Part of the Bulldog team that won districts… Also played water polo for Wilson and was named Second-Team All-American, All-League, First-Team All-State, and Berks County Female Water Polo Player of the Year in 2007… Part of the 2005 Bulldog team that won the state championship… Member of the honor roll.
 
Personal: Youngest of three daughters to James and Maria Cantwell…Sister Rachel (25) swam at Albright College, and sister Tina (23) is a UMBC record holder in the 100 breast… Majoring in interdisciplinary studies… Born Oct. 25, 1988.
