Retrievers Fall to Binghamton, 1-0, in Women’s Soccer Action

BALTIMORE—Binghamton defender Dani Raske scored just 10 minutes into the game, and that was all the Bearcats (5-4-1, 1-1-0 AEC) would need as they downed the UMBC women’s soccer team (2-10-0, 1-1-0 AEC) by a score of 1-0 Thursday afternoon at UMBC Soccer Stadium.
At the 10:15 mark, Raske one-timed the ball into the top-left corner of the net from 25 yards out to give her team the lead.
The Retrievers’ best opportunity came in the 63rd minute when sophomore forward Morgan Warrington (
UMBC goalie Christine Bacinski (Hampstead, Md./Mount de Sales) recorded three saves, while McEachron stopped six shots for the Bearcats.
