Women’s Soccer Drops Sixth Straight, 2-0, to Boston U.

The Terriers took an early lead when Farrell McClernon sent a perfect cross into the box that Marisha Schumacher-Hodge one-timed into the low corner in the fifth minute.
Boston increased its lead when McClernon slid the ball to an on-rushing Stephanie Croghan, who fought off a defender and stripped UMBC goalie Christine Bacinski (Hampstead, Md./Mount de Sales) of the ball to slot it into the near lower corner in the 16th minute.

In the 83rd minute, UMBC freshman forward Meagan Rivera (Fairport, N.Y./Penfield) made one last push to get on the scoreboard, but her strike went wide right.
Bacinski made three saves in 90 minutes while Reuter posted two stops.
The Terriers out-shot the Retrievers, 13-4, and held a 9-3 advantage on corner kicks.
The Retrievers return to action next Sunday, Oct. 21, when they host America East rival
