Four Incoming Freshman Selected to Region 1 U-19 Women’s Soccer Team

Baltimore-Four incoming freshman who will join the UMBC women’s soccer team this fall have been selected to the Region 1 Under-19 team and will compete for spots on the U.S. National Team in January.

Elyse Bilardo (Aston, Pa./Cardinal O’Hara), Megan McDonald (Wyoming, Pa./Dallas), Ashley Singer (Baltimore, Md./Kenwood) and Sandra Vacarino (Mantua, N.J./Clearview Regional) are among the 24 players chosen for the elite team.

Region 1 includes states on the East Coast from Maine to Virginia and West Virginia. The Region 1 team will compete against the teams from the other three regions in January, and National Team coaches will identify players for the National Team Programs.
