Jessica Young Named America East Women’s Soccer Player of the Week
Jessica Young scored five points on the weekend and leads the league in goals.
Boston-Junior forward Jessica Young was named America East Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 10, the conference announced Monday. Young lifted the Retrievers to a 2-0-0 weekend record with two goals and an assist as UMBC defeated

Young totaled five points on the weekend and leads the Retrievers and the America East in points (9), goals (4) and goals per game (0.67). She has scored in four of the last five games. Young also ranks sixth all-time at UMBC with 22 career goals and is tied for seventh with 50 career points.
After last weekend’s two wins, the Retrievers are above the .500 mark for the first time this season with a 3-2-1 overall record.
Young and the Retrievers return to action this weekend as they head to
