UMBC WOMEN’S SOCCER TIES BINGHAMTON 1-1 IN RAIN-SHORTENED CONTEST

VESTAL, N.Y. – UMBC women’s soccer (9-5-1, 3-1-1 AE) and
Binghamton's senior midfielder Lauren Massey opened the scoring just 5:20 into the game, finishing an 18-yard shot into the upper left corner. Massey collected a loose ball after a Bearcats corner kick and picked the corner from the top of the box for her second tally of the season.
The Retrievers scored the equalizer at the 24:34 mark on a 30-yard free kick off the foot of junior forward Amanda DiCarlo. It was her 10th goal of the season.
The two teams continued to play with the score knotted at one until it was halted at the 70:20 mark.
