WOMEN’S SOCCER WINS THIRD STRAIGHT WITH SHUTOUT OF ALBANY, 4-0

Baltimore, Md. – Four different Retrievers scored as the UMBC women’s soccer team improved to 7-7 overall and 2-3 in the America East Conference by defeating Albany (2-14, 0-5 America East) by a score of 4-0 this afternoon at the UMBC Soccer Stadium.
UMBC got on the board just 3:18 into the game when sophomore Mary Hearin (North Potomac, Md./Watkins Mill) served the ball to freshman Kersha Walker (Burlington, Ont./St. Thomas Aquinas), who had an open shot seven yards from the Albany net.
