CHRISY SIKORSKI NAMED AMERICA EAST WOMEN'S SOCCER ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Freshman Christy Sikorski (Westminster, Md./Mt. de Sales) received America East Rookie of the Week honors for her performance during the week of October 20-26.

Sikorski, a freshman defender, scored the game winner in UMBC’s 1-0 upset of New Hampshire. After a scoreless first half, UMBC netted the game's only goal with just under 14 minutes to play.  Kristin English (Millersville, Md./Old Mill) sent a corner kick from the left corner in front of the near post, where Sikorski was able to get a head on it, to score her first collegiate goal.
