2008: Saw action in 16 games and made 14 starts… Ranked second on the team with two goals and four points… Scored twice in the final two games of the season… Notched her first career goal against Boston University, then tallied again in the next contest at Albany… Her goal against the Great Danes tied the game at 3-3… Took eight shots on the season, including five on goal… Named the team’s Most Improved Athlete at UMBC’s varsity award banquet.
Background: Led A.B. Lucas High School to the city title in 2006 and 2008 and to the OFSAA gold medal in 2007 and 2008, when she scored the winning goal in double overtime… Was the second-highest overall goal scorer in the 2006 U-16 Canadian National Championships, where her club team, the London Supernova, won the title… Also led the Supernova to the Ontario Cup Provincial championship that year and to the Ontario Youth Soccer League crown in 2005… Was the starting goalie on the 2004 U-14 Canadian National Championship team and Ontario Cup Provincial Championship squad… Was scouted by the Canadian National Training Program in 2004… Also lettered in track and field in high school… Chose UMBC over NJIT because of the academics, campus and soccer team… Father, Brian, competed in track and field and tennis in college, while mother, Marilyn, was an accomplished ballroom dancer and instructor in England… Has an older brother, Barry… Born Jan. 29, 1990… A psychology major who hopes to pursue a career in psychology or social work.
