    In the regular season finale, the UMBC women’s soccer team fell to reigning America East champions Albany, 2-0 on Sunday. The Great Danes move to 9-7-1 overall on the season and 6-1-1 in conference play, while the Retrievers fall to 6-10-1 overall and 2-5-1 in America East contest. With the loss, UMBC has been eliminated from a possible berth in the America East tournament.

    After recognizing the team’s four graduating seniors, two penalty kick goals by Gabby Boehmer and Preslie Quaranta helped the UMBC women’s soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Binghamton on Thursday, Oct. 20. It was the first time that the have Retrievers defeated the Bearcats at home in the team’s 15 meetings. UMBC moves to 6-9-1 overall and 2-4-1 in America East play, while Binghamton falls to 6-9-2 overall and 2-5-0 in conference play.

    After falling to Stony Brook, 1-0 on Sunday, Oct. 16, the UMBC women’s soccer team will close out its home season with a matchup against Binghatmon on Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. Prior to the game, seniors Dee Morris, Shannon Phillips, Alexa Quaranta, and Preslie Quaranta will all be honored for their time at UMBC.

    After pulling a 1-1 tie with the Vermont Catamounts on Thursday, Oct. 13, the UMBC women's soccer team will return to Retriever Soccer Park on Sunday to host Stony Brook in one of the final home games of the season. The match is set kickoff at 1 p.m. and will serve as the team's Power in Pink game.

    In a rematch of last season’s America East quarterfinals, the UMBC Retrievers tied, 1-1 with the Vermont Catamounts on Thursday, Oct. 13. The Retrievers move to 5-8-1 overall and 1-3-1 in America East play, while the Catamounts sit at 6-5-3, 1-3-2 in conference play. The draw marks the first win or tie for UMBC on the road this season.

The River Hawks move to 4-6-2 (2-2-0 America East), while the Retrievers fell to 5-8-0 (1-3-0 America East). The loss marks the first at Retriever Soccer Park this season for UMBC.
