Women’s Soccer Releases 2014 Slate
BALTIMORE – UMBC women's soccer head coach Leslie Wray has announced the Retrievers' schedule for the 2014 season, as the black and gold will look defend their 2013 crown in Wray's third season at the helm.
"We put together another challenging schedule with high level competition in and out of the America East," Wray said. "Our non-conference schedule kicks off with home openers against Patriot League participants Navy and Loyola. As we head into September, we are excited to play in the first Annual Battle of Baltimore against Mount St. Mary's and Towson, at hosting schools Loyola and Towson. As we transition to our conference games we will need to be prepared for many highly competitive games. We are determined and look forward to defending our conference title."

UMBC concludes its non-conference slate with a trip to Moon Township, Pa., to take on Robert Morris on Sept. 26.
UMBC begins its journey for a repeat title on Oct. 2 when it travels to Vermont to open American East action against the Catamounts. The Retrievers take on Stony Brook in its conference home-opener on Oct. 5, but jump back on the road on Oct. 9 to battle New Hampshire.
UMBC is home for back-to-back games for the only time during its league schedule starting with a homecoming matchup against Maine on Oct. 12, followed by a meeting with UMass Lowell on Oct. 16. The Retrievers travel north on Oct. 19 looking to break the series tie against Hartford, before making a trip to Albany on Oct. 23.
