CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – UMBC women's lacrosse goalkeeper Kendall Mason (Lloyd Harbor, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) earned her second America East Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season after helping the Retrievers to a 2-0 week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
The senior surrendered a conference-low 4.31 goals per game in a pair of victories against Wagner and Boston University. Mason notched a season-high 10 saves versus the Terriers, including eight in the opening half to keep UMBC within striking distance, in a game the Retrievers would come from behind to win 7-6 in overtime.
