BACKGROUND: The Cedar Run District Player of the Year from Loudoun Valley High School… A two-time First-Team All-District and All-Region selection… All-Met Honorable Mention in the Washington Post… Named her team’s Most Valuable Player in 2008… Tallied 23 goals and 20 assists as a senior while leading the Vikings to the district title, the state semifinals and a perfect league record… Elected team captain as a senior… A four-year varsity letterwinner… A First-Team All-Galaxy selection as a member of the FSLAX club team… Also competed in cross country at Loudoun Valley… A member of the Jamaica Mission Team and the Key Club… Chose UMBC over American, La Salle, Drexel and Towson… Daughter of Jay and Kathy Harkey… Born May 31, 1990… Father, Jay, played lacrosse on the 1980 UMBC national championship team before transferring and competing at Maryland… Brother, J.D., is currently a midfielder for the Retrievers… Also has an older sister, Meghan, who plays lacrosse at Christopher Newport, and a younger sister, Shannon, who plays at Florida...
