TOP SEEDED LOYOLA DEFEATS WOMEN'S LACROSSE, 18-3, IN FIRST ROUND NCAA CONTEST

Baltimore, MD--Top-seeded Loyola scored the first ten goals of the game and went on to defeat UMBC, 18-3, in NCAA Firsr Round action at Loyola's Curley Field. The Retrievers finished the season at 10-9 after making their second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
The Greyhounds held UMBC off the board until three minutes remained in the first half, when Lauren Traber converted a pass from Jen Dragoni. LC led, 10-1, at intermission. Retriever attackers Lauren Hess and Kate Worthington scored in the second half for UMBC.
Senior netminder Courtney Stringer made some tough saves, finishing the game with 13.
